Congratulations to the amazing Rebecca Green on her recent artist spotlight. Rebecca is an incredible artist that allowed me to take her portrait for a personal project a while back. Go check out and buy some of her work!

Check out my interview on RAW very cool site with tons of great info and resources for photographers. Thanks Tristan for the opportunity.

Excited to be featured on the Mull It Over blog today. Check out the interview as well as the other people featured.

Before the new year I had a crazy idea to bring 12 drummers with full drumsets into the studio for a night of madness. It was amazing to have such talent and diversity of style in the same room. Big thanks to all the guys for being a part of this!
Anonymous asked: Did attend some sort of schooling or are you a strictly self taught photographer?
I went to college for 4 years - studied graphic design and photography.

I found out that I was featured on a list of 50 photographers to watch a while back. I’m not sure how I got on the list but I’m honored to be there along with many other great artists. If you’re interested in checking out some amazing photography hit the link and kill some time… hongkiat.com

Happy new year everyone. I spent last night with tons of great friends, drinks, and some rock and roll. Nothing like bringing in the new year throwing some drums around.

Here’s a few images of Jessica from a recent shoot. The weather in Michigan has been oddly warm so we took full advantage of it on a sunny day, shooting for John Ruvin Eyewear.

Get a hair cut and a real job… or so that’s what they say. I figured it was time for a much needed change in more ways than one so I made the decision to go visit the lovely Kelsey Zahn to chop off the locks for a fresh start a while back. New look and more new updates in the works for the new year.
Thanks to Rebecca Gohl for the photo on our way home from Indy too.

I’ve been lucky enough to get the occasional message from younger photographers that admire some of my work, and I have to say that it is not only flattering but very inspiring. Every time one of these comes in I always get more motivated to push my work, and to try even harder to give back to younger photographers. Let’s face it the photography and art world in general is not always the easiest to be in. So it’s great to hear from others, especially younger people about your work.
So to any or all of you younger artists out there, I’m sure I can speak on behalf of most of us when I say… Thank you for inspiring us just as much as we might inspire you. Keep pushing your art, and continue sending messages to those that motivate you to be better. It doesn’t go un-noticed and often these messages come when we need that little reminder the most.
